Programme Background
The Northwest region of Nigeria faces complex security challenges including banditry, kidnapping, farmer-herder conflicts, and communal tensions. These issues have significantly impacted economic activities, education, and overall quality of life in the region.
Recognizing the interconnected nature of these challenges, the Northwest Governors' Forum developed a comprehensive Peace & Security Programme that emphasizes collaboration, community engagement, and sustainable solutions to address root causes of insecurity.
